Rajasthan Royals seek breakout from the middle table muddle

Between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals, one team has the least to lose. As good as knocked out of the competition, SRH are at the bottom with just one win from nine games and the least they can do from hereon is play party poopers for other teams.

If they hoped that a change in captaincy from David Warner to Kane Williamson mid-season would change fortunes, it hasn’t worked. Their bowling continues to rely heavily on Rashid Khan and the batters, too, are struggling for runs. In a low-scorer against Punjab Kings, SRH failed to chase 126. Warner’s poor form, and that the middle order has barely made significant contributions, have hurt them.
