6

DRIVES

1-Played to full-length deliveries in an arc between mid-on and cover, depending on their line.
2-A batsman is advised to play in the V between mid-on and mid-off early in his innings.
3-For the drive, the bat accelerates through the point of contact, and the player follows through in the intended direction of the ball.
4-Transfer your body weight on front foot by bending your front knee, connect the ball under your head/eyes.
5-The arms are fully extended, and the front elbow, hands and bat usually finish high, although a “check” follow-through is often employed.
6-As with all drives, it is important that the batsman “stands tall” and that the back leg does not collapse.
