Commonwelath Games 2022: ICC Needs ladies T20

Cricket’s reality overseeing body has presented an offer for ladies’ Twenty20 cricket to be incorporated at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The ICC will make its introduction with the England and Wales Cricket Board to an appraisal board ahead of schedule one month from now.

ICC CEO David Richardson want cricket to lead the path in the Commonwealth in motivating more young ladies to take up game paying little respect to their experience or culture.

Richardson said Birmingham was the “impeccable place” for it to return as “23% of the city’s occupants have connections to cricket-playing countries outside the United Kingdom”.

Britain were beaten by Australia in the last of the ongoing Women’s World T20 in the West Indies, and the ECB’s ladies’ cricket manager Clare Connor trusts the diversion is exceptional.
